Academic-Services.com Partners with My Ivy Leaguer to Provide Comprehensive College Admission and High School Tutoring Service Packages (Yahoo News) Oct. 5, 2009

Acacadmic-Services.com, a provider of college admission consultation, partners with My Ivy Leaguer, a provider of high school subject tutoring and test preparation, to offer more comprehensive service packages to high school and college students.

San Jose, CA (PRWeb) October 1, 2009--Academic-Services.com, a provider of college admission consultation in the San Francisco Bay Area, partners with My Ivy Leaguer, a leading provider of high school subject tutoring and test preparation in New England, to offer more comprehensive college admission consultation and tutoring packages. Together, they have a college admission consulting and tutoring team consisting of an experienced college instructor and graduates of Ivy League and other leading universities in the nation including Columbia University, Princeton University, Harvard University, Stanford University, and the University of California at Berkeley. The business partnership enables both companies to provide in-person college consulting and high tutoring services in the San Francisco Bay Area and New England. They also provide online consultation and online tutoring services to clients outside of these regional areas.

"One of the best ways for high school students to gain admission into the leading universities is through consultation, mentoring, and tutoring by college instructors, former students, and current students from the leading universities in the country. It makes logical sense to be counseled and tutored by staff members who have already been there," states Trung Le, a current college instructor, founder, director, and head consultant of Academic-Services.com. Mr. Le started his San Jose, CA based college admission consulting business after many years of counseling and mentoring many of his own community college students in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Anthony Green founded his tutoring and test preparation business, My Ivy Leaguer, which is based in Boston, MA, for similar reasons and for similar passions. When asked about the characteristics of his tutors, he responded, "Our hiring decisions are also based as much on personality as they are on on-paper credentials - all of our tutors, aside from being brilliant and qualified, are also extremely friendly and outgoing." Mr. Green also added, "We want our students to feel comfortable with their tutors, and to be motivated by them - by hiring role models who can connect with their students and inspire them to achieve at their highest level, we're allowing our clients to enjoy a process that might otherwise be stressful and difficult."

Both Mr. Le and Mr. Green agree on the importance of mentors in the lives of students. "Many high school and college students do not have the right mentors to encourage and to guide them through these importance years," Mr. Le adds. "This is another reason why our services are so valuable to parents of high school students."

Academic-Services.com offering Webinars to Help College Students Succeed (Yahoo News) Jan. 1, 2009

YAHOO NEWS

Academic-Services.com, a provider of college admission coaching, consultation, counseling, advising, and tutoring services, will begin offering webinars and videoconferencing to help college and high school students succeed.

San Jose, CA (PRWEB) January 1, 2009 - Academic-Services.com (www.academic-services.com) will begin offering free, online webinars in early 2009 to help future and current college students succeed. Students and parents will be able to interact in these live, online webinars with the host speaker and guest speakers of Academic-Services.com.

The technology is provided by WebEx, a Cisco Company. Its online webinar software allows multiple participants to join and to interact in a live, online environment. Features include videoconferencing, messaging, polling, and document presentation. Anyone with internet connection, with or without a webcam, can join the webinar. "This is truly a revolutionary and highly productive technology," states Trung Le, a college philosopher instructor and founder of Academic-Services.com. "I am now able to use this technology to offer online lectures, offer review sessions, and student conferences for my philosophy courses, which are spread out across three cities." Professor Le lives and teaches in San Jose, commutes 300 miles a week to teach at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, and also to De Anza College in Cupertino. "I can now interact with my students even if I'm not in the classroom. The best part is that all of my students across the various colleges can join the webinar to interact with another."

Professor Le established his private consulting business in 2008, but has advised, coached, tutored, and mentored many of his own students ever since he first taught four years ago. "I chose to teach philosophy for a reason, and that reason is to inspire students to live more passionate, happier, and productive lives. In the process, I also found myself being an academic advisor and mentor to many of my own students." One of his former students is now studying philosophy at the University of California at Berkeley. Another former student is now studying conservation biology at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Testimonials of Professor Le's former students can be found at the Le Foundation web site at www.le-foundation.org, and will soon appear on Academic-Services.com.
